A dash camera is an video camera that is mounted onto the front windscreen of your car and records your entire drive. This acts as an independent digital eyewitness on the road. The camera switches on when the car starts and continuously records all activities in front of the vehicle. Some dash cameras have two cameras where the second camera can record either the cabin or rear of the vehicle. If there is an incident with your vehicle, the video footage recorded can be used in a court of law or can be shown to your insurance company or local police to prove your innocence. Think of a dash camera as "CCTV" for your car.
